Loan Periods

You may borrow any number of books at any time but only two on the same topic. We have a three-week loan period for most books, audiotapes and magazines although high demand materials like bestsellers may be on two week loans. There are book drops at all locations when the libraries are not open.

VIDEOTAPES
Every six weeks the Library receives new movies as part of the Video Pool Collection of the Southern Ontario Library Services (SOLS). You may borrow the movies for one week at no charge. Enjoy a wide variety of movies for free!

Fine & Replacements

Fines for books, magazines and audiotapes are 25¢ a day for adult materials with maximum charges for long overdue books. We do not charge for juvenile materials borrowed on a child's card. However, if a book is damaged or lost, we ask that the full replacement cost be paid.

Interlibrary Loan

For items not located within our library system, our Interlibrary Loan department will try to obtain the material from another library. Through our interlibrary loan service, you have access to millions of books!

In some cases a small fee will apply (you will be notified prior to receiving the material). Patrons will be notified by phone when the material arrives; items will be held for one week. Loan periods will vary depending on the source library. Overdue fines are $1.00 per day. If a book is damaged or lost the patron will be charged the rate of replacement as per the lending library's policy. Interloan privileges can be limited or revoked at our discretion.

The Admaston-Bromley Public Library has a large collection of fiction and non-fiction materials. This includes:

Adult and juvenile books, magazine subscriptions, Videotapes, audiotapes and CDs

CD-ROM encyclopedias, almanacs and interactive books

You can access this collections via the Library's public access computers, as well as from the convenience of your own home! Computers & Internet

Whether you are looking for a job, doing research for a project, or perhaps just checking your e-mail, the Library has the necessary resources for you to take advantage of. Currently the Admaston Bromley Community Library has three computers for the community to enjoy. Users may have access to the internet in half hour increments.

The Admaston Bromley Community Library is proud to be part of the Community Access
Program (CAP) which is funded by Industry Canada. The library, as a CAP site, is pleased to be able to provide the community with free Internet access and computer training. One of our computers is a state of the art Gateway computer, a gift from the Gates Foundation. Children can enjoy a wealth of educational games, featuring such favourites as Arthur or Barney.

PRINT | COPY
We also provide copy and print services to our patrons. Both copies and prints are 10¢/page.
Prints are made using our high quality laser printer.
