Our journey through the jungle has come to an end, but the staff and students who helped with the Summer Reading Program had a wonderful week with the children, reading stories, playing games, and making crafts.

We had a great time during our games session, playing games like Animal Tag, Face the Cookie, and Feed the Lion! We also had fun making our Palm Leaf Books, sun catchers, and so many other cool crafts. We celebrated our amazing week with a party on the last day of the program. Thanks to everyone who provided such delicious snacks and drinks. The kids tossed water balloons and watched a movie. They also got to take home a book for their very own.

The children did a super job reading; we met our goal of reading more than 100 books by the end of the week. Well done, everyone!

The Library is hosting the Summer Reading Program from July 20th to July 24th, from 9:00 a.m. – noon. The theme this year is Spies and Mystery. Kids from ages 4 – 11 are welcome. Register at the library during our regular hours and get your free registration kit. Join us for games, prizes, crafts, sports, activities, and lots of great books!
