The Great Sandcastle Contest
It was almost impossible to choose only three winners for the Sandcastle Contest. Some castles had moats, some had boats, and all them were amazing! What a creative group of engineers! It was hard to make up my mind, but here are the three winning sandcastles. View our pics below!

Splash! We had an awesome time at this year's Summer Reading Program!
We read more than 120 books, made some tasty crafts, and played lots of wet and wild water games! We also watched some of the National Film Board's short films for kids. They were great. Check out some of the movie reviews written by our young reviewers

We really enjoyed Michael Bradley's visit on Tuesday, too. His story, Magpie's Missing Spoon, was fun to listen to. If you haven't read it, you can borrow a copy from the library!
Friday we celebrated the final day of the library program with a beach party. The weather was pefect for building sandcastles and throwing water balloons. Thanks to everyone who brought along so many wonderful treats to share. Thanks to all those who helped to make the Reading Program such a success. Keep on reading!

And had a very green snack! 'The Luckiest Leprechaun' by Justine Korman was read aloud & guests got to bring home their very own candy rainbow and coin of luck!
The winner of the Pot of Gold Guess was Morgan with her guess of 30! Keep an eye out for an announcement about the next party in April!

Summer Reading Club a Great Success!
Our journey through the jungle has come to an end, but the staff and students who helped with the Summer Reading Program had a wonderful week with the children, reading stories, playing games, and making crafts. We had a great time during our games session, playing games like Animal Tag, Face the Cookie, and Feed the Lion! We also had fun making our Palm Leaf Books, sun catchers, and so many other cool crafts. We celebrated our amazing week with a party on the last day of the program. Thanks to everyone who provided such delicious snacks and drinks. The kids tossed water balloons and watched a movie. They also got to take home a book for their very own.
The children did a super job reading; we met our goal of reading more than 100 books by the end of the week. Well done, everyone!
