About the Library | Our History
Plans for a library in Bromley began in 1977. In January of that year, the Bromley Township Council called an open meeting to present an agreement between the township and the Renfrew County Catholic School Board. This agreement was the beginning of a what would become a shared library between St. Michael's Elementary School and Bromley township. The Admaston-Bromley Community Library is one of only two libraries in Ontario to have such a unique character. We have recently celebrated our 30th Anniversary and we have become automated and are better than ever.

Your Library ... Today
The Library is operated under the auspices of the Township Council and is run by a board appointed by this group. Our head librarian, Anne English, has been with us for 29 years; an alternate Librarian, Jane Wouda, also helps out with the CAP program and co-ordinates all our Children's programs.

We also have 2 students who work on Saturdays and assist Jane with the Children's Programs. Volunteers are always welcome and we have had numerous high school students who did their community service hours here. If you would like to volunteer at the library, please contact us for more information »
